Ross County will face a tough test in the KDM Evolution Trophy against Elgin City, with manager Stefan Laird expecting a strong performance from the visitors. Laird will make a number of changes to his team, but hopes his men can compete with the full-time opponents. The Borough Briggs boss doesn't expect to be able to play any of his four young loan players in tonight's match. He has County duo Calum Brown and Lewis Mackay, as well as Aberdeen pair Sam McLean and Aaron Cummings, who will play for the Dons' B team in the competition. Laird said after Saturday's 1-1 draw with Forfar Athletic in league 2 that he expects a very tough night against full-time opponents when County come to town. 'I expect Ross County to be very strong,' he said. 'They're favourites to win League 1 and they're a very, very good full-time team. 'It's not a game that we should be winning.'
