Ross County travel to Links Park to face Montrose this weekend on a formidable five-match winning streak and as League One leaders. The Staggies sit top of the table with 22 points from eight games, having scored 26 times already this season.
Their most recent outing was a 4-1 home victory over Alloa Athletic last Saturday. That result followed a 14-0 Challenge Cup rout of Hearts U21 and a 5-1 away win at Clachnacuddin. The run began with league wins at Cove Rangers and a dominant 8-0 home performance against Queen of the South.
Head-to-head context
Ross County won the last league meeting between these sides 2-1 at home in August. Montrose, who currently occupy fourth place, head into the fixture after a 1-0 away loss to Airdrie United last weekend. Both teams fielded unchanged starting lineups for those matches, with Ross County's side featuring the likes of Brian Graham, Kyle Phillips and Connor Randall.
The Staggies' next fixture is this away trip to Montrose on Saturday, October 10.
