Ross County chief executive Steven Ferguson has reaffirmed the club's commitment to mental health charity Mikeysline, using their platform to encourage open conversations among supporters. The partnership was showed at the club's 2-1 home win over Forfar Athletic on Tuesday, their first match at home since World Mental Health Day on October 10. That victory, secured with goals from J. Turner and C. Hamilton, was part of a formidable run of five wins and no draws or defeats.

Ferguson, who has been an ambassador for the Highlands-based charity for over six years, said he hears firsthand about the challenges Mikeysline faces. "People are magnificent at putting masks on and covering things up, so we're not expecting to solve anything immediately," he said. The club used pitch-side LED banners, tannoy messages, and special warm-up kits during the match to promote the cause.

He acknowledged that football stadiums can sometimes be breeding grounds for abuse that affects mental health, but stressed the club's aim is to spin its influence positively. The initiative is about raising awareness and using the club's badge, voice, and footprint to offer comfort. Ferguson said the goal is to plant a seed for people at the game to carry forward, bringing companionship to make someone's life better.

Mikeysline was founded in December 2015 following the deaths of Martin Shaw and Michael Williamson within 48 hours of each other. It supports people of all ages through face-to-face appointments at its local Hives, as well as via SMS, WhatsApp, Messenger, webchat, and phone.

The awareness drive comes as Ross County continue their strong start to the League One season. They sit first in the table with 28 points from 10 games, having recorded nine wins and a single draw. The team's recent form is perfect, with five consecutive victories, including a 7-1 away win at Queen of the South on Saturday 17 October where B. Graham scored twice. With 38 goals scored and only six conceded this season, the side carries significant momentum into their next fixture at home against fifth-placed Airdrie United on Saturday 24 October.
