Ross County kicked off their pre-season with two impressive wins, scoring 12 goals against Highland League sides Forres Mechanics and Invergordon.

What happened?

The Staggies split their squad in two, with one side playing at Invergordon's Ali MacGregor Park and the other at Forres Mechanics' Mosset Park. A first County goal of the day came in Forres, as Joe Coyle opened the scoring to put County ahead. In Invergordon, Lewis Strapp got on the ball in the inside right channel and fired in from the edge of the box to score the first goal.

Richard Chin's header sent Calum Brown through, although his effort was saved, it presented Luke McCarvel with the chance to follow-up, but he could not quite overcome a tight angle as his effort crashed back off the post. Brian Graham found the net in Forres to give the Staggies a two-goal advantage in both games. Noah Chilvers would then hit the crossbar directly from a wide free kick in Invergordon, before immediately going and chipping the ball over the top for Brown to make it 5-0.
